I absolutely love, love, love the Imperial No. 9 at the Mondrian Soho—Manhattan’s latest, trendiest place to see and be seen.
From the time you walk through the door, you know you’re in for an unforgettable experience: Eric, the Maître D gave me a wonderful welcome (he’s fab!), and upon entering the Garden Room, I was blown away. The space looks like a luxurious greenhouse, sporting crystal chandeliers and potted plants. There’s even a cottage swing, which makes waiting for your table way more fun! And spot on trend, there are glass vases down the center of the tables—a decorating trend tip I do for a lot of my Palm Beach clients! And don’t worry—if you can’t get into the Garden Room, the other dining room is beautiful, too…the mirrored tables especially caught my eye, and the chandeliers are equally fabulous!
And lest you think it’s merely the décor that impressed me, so did the food. The exquisite cocktail list is truly imaginative, and Top Chef’s Sam Talbot has whipped up an inspired menu—I loved everything I tried, and will go back as soon as I can! Imperial No. 9 is a truly not-to-be-missed experience.
